Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to all business processes of Geographic Hotels and Adventures AS, hereinafter referred to as the Data Controller.

The statement provides information about data processing performed by the Data Controller and determines the purpose and means of the processing, as well as the data processing we perform on behalf of our clients based on their instructions. The processing of personal data is necessary for us to fulfill our contractual obligations and serve you as a customer. Personal data may also be used for the following purposes: sales, customer service contact, marketing, information, and accounting. For marketing via email/SMS, explicit consent is obtained in advance.

We will not sell or provide personal information and/or personal data to other parties without explicit permission from the concerned individual.

Our e-commerce platform is provided by Munu AS, with data storage facilitated through their cloud services via Microsoft Azure, located within the jurisdictions of Norway and Europe.

Adyen: When paying with a credit card in the online store (or our physical store), personal information such as card numbers is sent to Adyen for payment processing.

Munu AS – Munu POS: We use Munu POS from Munu AS as the cash register solution in our physical store. Information related to your order is stored by Munu AS in the Munu Cloud.

Communication through Email and SMS

As a customer, you may receive emails and SMS related to your customer relationship. For example, we will send you emails/SMS related to orders you have placed, forgotten passwords, information about your customer account, etc. This is defined as a legitimate interest and consent will not be requested.

We also use email for marketing and communication. As a customer of the Data Controller, you will periodically receive newsletters provided you have given active consent. It is possible to unsubscribe from the newsletter by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails.

Access and Correction

Prices and Value Added Tax
All prices listed on the website are in Norwegian Kroner (NOK) and include value added tax.

Shipping
All purchases from Geographic Hotels and Adventures AS, located at Korsegata 8, 6002 Ålesund, Norway, are to be picked up locally at the location. Therefore, shipping is not applicable.

Payment Terms
Payments can be made using VISA/Mastercard/AMEX/Diners and Vipps. The seller may request payment for the goods from the time they are dispatched to the buyer. If the buyer uses a credit or debit card for payment, the seller may reserve the purchase amount on the card at the time of ordering. The card will be charged on the same day the goods are dispatched.

Personal Data
The seller processes personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act. Refer to our Privacy Policy in the footer for more information. Personal information that can be linked to an individual will never be made available to other businesses or linked with external registries. Geographic Hotels and Adventures AS will not sell or forward personal information without consent.

Card Information

Cancellation
Cost-free cancellation is available the day before.

Complaints
If there is a defect in the goods, you must, within a reasonable time after you discovered it, give the seller written notice (email or letter) that you will invoke the defect. The seller will then provide information on what to do next. The rules on complaints are found in the Consumer Purchases Act.

Unclaimed Goods
